While your files upload, take this opportunity to relax – you're well on your way to creating engaging content!

Remember that uploaded assets have specific file formats and size restrictions, so reviewing these before preparing your files is crucial.

As you accumulate assets, you may feel overwhelmed by the task of organizing them. HeyGen offers an easy-to-use folder organization system which makes managing this task easier.

Moving your files into the appropriate folders ensures your library stays organized and easy to navigate.

You can toggle between list view and card view.

The flexibility provided enables you to browse through your library most conveniently. You have the option to select multiple files simultaneously for deletion or relocation, which enhances the efficiency of asset management.

Uploading & Managing Your External Assets

HeyGen allows users to upload external assets, providing a wide range of options for customization. You can use design or AI tools such as Canva, Midjourney, and Adobe to represent your concept to create distinctive assets.

This feature introduces a creative twist to your content, allowing you to swap faces within your videos for a genuinely engaging viewer experience.

This innovative tool transforms simple text prompts into visually compelling images, adding an extra layer of intrigue to your storytelling.

This in-built feature allows effortless screen recording, making it an invaluable tool for creating tutorials, showcasing software's capabilities, or capturing gameplay for entertainment projects.

What is HeyGen Asset: General Introduction

If you are using a video as a background, you can choose whether or not to include the video's original audio, which is 

 by default. You can also toggle video material modes such as 'Loop,' 'Fill the Scene,' and 'Freeze at the End.'

How to Use Video Asset in HeyGen?

To restore a video that you have previously deleted, you can follow these steps:

Look for the "Trash" option on the right-hand side of your screen on the video page and click on it.

You will be taken to the [Trash] page where your deleted items are stored.

Locate the project or video you wish to restore.

Click on the "..." or more options icon associated with the video.

From the available options, select "Restore" to bring the video back.

By following these steps, you will be able to restore your deleted video and have it available again.

Can I Use This AI Video Maker On Mobile/Pad?

Can I use HeyGen on my phone/mobile version?

Click on the "Turn on Cam & Mic" button on the page and select "Allow" to grant HeyGen App permission to access your camera and microphone.

Click on the camera icon on top right corner of your browser.

Select the first option "Always allow..." and click "Done".

Click on Safari menu on the top left corner and open the Settings.

Go to "Websites" and find the "Camera" and "Microphone" options in the left-hand list. Set the permissions for Heygen App to "Allow" in both categories.

. If your computer's front-facing camera doesn't meet this requirement, you can resolve the issue by connecting an external device.

For some Windows devices, simultaneous streaming from multiple applications is not supported. Please make sure that no other applications are using the camera streaming simultaneously. If you find any, kindly close those applications and try again.

How to Access Your Cam and Mic

When you choose music from Plxabay as video background music, sometimes you will

get content ID claims from YouTube if they upload this kind of video. 

Content ID claims will cause the following problems:

Monetize content by running ads on it and sometimes sharing revenue with the uploader.

Track the viewership statistics on the content.

Step 0 Get License (Prepare the material)

Go to youtube, choose the video, Click "See Details” in video that has "content ID claim" in Youtube.

How to remove your Content ID claim in Youtube?

4.How to use ‘auto link’ to match your video clips to the length of your script

When this toggle is on, the length of the scene will automatically adjust to correspond with the length of the script. You will need to press ‘play’ to update changes.

5. Why do I receive a warning popup when submitting?

You may see up to three types of alerts when attempting to submit your video for processing:

Alert 1: Overall script duration exceeds overall scene duration.

The text-to-speech (TTS) script exceeds the scene duration. This text will not be included in the final video. To include it, you can add additional scenes or extend current ones.

Video content: The part outlined in red indicates the portion of the script that exceeds the duration of the scene.

Generated video: The part of the script in the red outline was not rendered. 

Alert 2: Overall scene duration exceeds overall script duration

The scene exceeding the script duration will not have text-to-speech (TTS) audio. If there is an Avatar in this part of the scene, it will not speak.

Video content: The part outlined in red indicates the portion of the scene that exceeds the duration of the script.

Generated video: The part within the red outline is where the Avatar does not speak. 

The final video generated will not include an Avatar speaking the script.

: when using Photo Avatar to create a video, please make sure to upload your photo to the 

 section. If you upload your photo to the 

 section and add it to the canvas instead, your final video will not contain a lip-syncing Avatar.

These alerts are designed to help with the video creation process. If you intended to create a video without an Avatar or with varying scene and script lengths, feel free to submit your video for processing!

AI Studio Getting Started Tutorial

When trying to create videos with your avatar on our AI Studio, our Scripts feature is where you can create, translate, and generate the text you want your avatar to speak throughout the video. It is located on the most left part of the screen, the 3rd tab from the top.

There are three easy ways to create a script in HeyGen's AI Studio:

 Unleash your creativity and craft your script from scratch.

 Simply click the 'Upload' button to import your existing script.

 Let ChatGPT generate a unique script for you in seconds.

Hot Tip: Add a Recording or Upload your own Audio

Don’t feel like typing out a whole script and prefer the natural flow of your own voice? Simply record yourself reading your script or speaking freely, and watch your avatar bring your words to life with lip-sync technology, while keeping your original voice intonation.

'Add Script' to Create New Script Sections

Click the "+" symbol located below the script to add another section. This functionality enables you to break your script into multiple segments, allowing for better organization and easier editing. By dividing your script into distinct parts, you can manage complex narratives more effectively, add variety to your content, and seamlessly transition between different topics or scenes.

💡Please note💡 there are two types of Pauses- 

Click the clock symbol to insert a pause marker in your script. This will make your avatar take natural pauses between the words in the places you choose. It is marked by the clock sign on the bottom right of the script, and each pause you insert is marked by a clock emoji within the script

This feature allows you to introduce natural breaks and pauses between the scripts segments. You can easily adjust the length of the pause to match the desired timing by clicking + or - on the ticker. You can add pauses using the clock sign on the bottom script bar.

With our advanced translation feature, you can effortlessly convert your script into a wide variety of languages, making it accessible to a global audience. Learn more about what languages are currently supported

If you're creating an avatar to represent yourself, we highly recommend using the custom voice generated during your avatar creation. You can find this voice under 'Private' or 'Shared' voices. For optimal results with your own voice when creating your avatar, follow the steps outlined in 

If you don't like the way your voice or other voices sound when reading the script, you can always Upload your own audio file/record in Studio and the avatar will lip-sync to your natural intonation and speed!

Whether you plan to use one of our public avatars or your own instant avatar, you can always pair it with any public voice from the HeyGen Library or integrate a third-party voice, like IIElevenLabs.

if you're using a public voice, some voices are specific to only one language- you can recognize those based on the little flag next to them. If they have a globe emoji next to them -🌎- that means they can be used with any language.

To preview your chosen voice, simply click the 

▶️ button located at the top of your script. This will allow you to hear how the voice sounds with your script, ensuring it meets your expectations before finalizing it. This has no credit cost so you can preview and edit as much as you like!

If you'd like to change a way a certain word is pronounced, you can right-click that word to use our Pronunciation feature and make sure your avatar says that word exactly the way you want it!

If you'd like to change specific settings regarding the voice in this script, you can click the three dots beside the play button to access more 

 Customize the voice by adjusting the speed, pitch, and volume to suit your preferences. Please note that pitch changing is only available for a select few voices, allowing for unique tonal variations where supported.

 Once you've selected a voice, you can easily apply it to other existing scripts within your project with this button.

Create a copy of your script with a single click. This is useful for making variations or backups of your original script without starting from scratch.

 Permanently remove the selected script from your project. Use this option to clean up and organize your workspace by getting rid of scripts that are no longer needed.

How to use Scripts in AI Studio

Users on HeyGen’s Creator and Team plans can create as many videos as they need. However, to ensure everyone has fair access to HeyGen and to protect against misuse of our platform, all videos go through a processing queue and content moderation review.

For users on the Creator Plan, the first 30 videos created each month will receive priority processing and move to the top of the queue. For users on the Team Plan, the first 100 videos created each month will receive priority processing.

After the monthly threshold is passed, users can still create videos but may notice longer wait times for videos to complete generation. We may dynamically adjust the threshold based on available compute capacity to optimize the user experience.

To protect against abuse or misuse of our platform.
