HeyGen ensures the privacy of every user's data. 
If you need to add or remove your card information, it can be easily done on the settings page.

However, please note that when you have an active plan, the default payment method cannot be removed.

To pause or cancel your subscription, please follow these steps:

Click on your name on the top-left part of the home screen.

Look for the "Subscriptions" option and click on it.

Our refund policy states that refunds are not allowed after 15 days, especially when the credits have been used. This is because using the credits consumes our server GPU resources for video rendering. For more information, please visit our terms of service page at 

However, if you encountered any inaccuracies in the video rendering due to a technical issue, we apologize for the inconvenience. Please provide us with the video ID and specify the problematic part, and our team will investigate, fix the video, and refund the credits used for it. 

Could you please let us know which specific aspect of HeyGen did not meet your expectations and led to your desire to cancel your plan? 

If you still wish to proceed with a refund, we kindly request that you provide us with more detailed information to submit a refund request.

Refund Policy

To access your invoice, please follow these steps: 

1. Click on your user name on the top left, and choose "Subscriptions"

2. On the right side, click "Manage Billing Info" 

3. Scroll down until you see your payment history, and click on the little arrow to view and download your invoices.

To delete your account, please follow these steps: 

2. Within the account settings, locate the option to delete your account. 

3. Click on the designated button to initiate the account deletion process. 

Please note that deleting your account is a permanent action and cannot be undone. It will result in the removal of all your personal data and associated information from our system.

HeyGen plans purchased before August 1, 2024 use a credit system. Users needed to spend credits each time they generated a video (e.g, creating a 5-minute Avatar Video costed 5 credits). And the number of credits users had depended on their subscription plan.

Feedback from the community showed that the credit system was confusing and stifled creativity. 

Today, we’re excited to announce new Creator and Team plans that allow users like yourself to create and edit as many videos as needed!

First and foremost, we will continue to support older plans

If you wish to remain on your old, credit-based Creator and Team plans, no action is needed! We will continue to support these plans.

But for those who want to switch to the new plans, please continue reading.

Introducing new unlimited Creator and Team plans

Below is a comparison of the key changes between legacy and new Creator and Team plans. If you're on a legacy plan and are interested in switching, please review the following table carefully. You will not be able to revert back to a legacy plan after switching.

How to switch to the new unlimited plans from previous old plans

You can self-service switch from a the old Creator or Team plan to a new plan with unlimited video generation. Simply click on the ‘Pricing’ button on the left navigation bar within the HeyGen web application. You will see a new page with the option to start the migration process. This will be available on Monday August 5th 10AM US PST time. 

You can switch to a new plan that most closely aligns with your existing plan tier and billing cycle (e.g, If you have an older Creator plan with monthly billing, you can switch to the New Creator plan with monthly billing). After completing the initial migration, you can change to other tiers or billing cycles if desired.

HeyGen is evolving to better serve our users! We are now offering a new set of unlimited plans where user can create as many videos as they like, with no credit cost or usage limitation!

Since there is a big change in the way we offer Seats on the team plan, we figured it deserve a more in-depth explanation here.

First things first - users who prefer to keep their old credit-based plan can absolutely do so! no action needed but making sure your subscription is active and there is no issue with payments. If you pause/cancel the credit-based plan or have any payment issues, there will be no option to re-active the old plan.

For users looking to change their Team plan onto the new unlimited plan, something to keep in mind-


In the new Team plan, seats are no longer free and unlimited- each seat would cost 89$ on the monthly plan and $69 on the annual plan. 

If you choose to migrate onto the new plan, you would have 

Until the end of your current billing cycle

 to enjoy both Unlimited and free seats for the existing seats you have. During this time you can decide to-





1) Reduce the number of seats you have to avoid a charge- this can be done in Settings under Members and simply click Remove 

2) Keep the seats you have and paying for a subscription for each.  

If you purchased the annual plan, and the ending of your billing cycle is far into the future- congrats! you can keep enjoying the same amount of seats AND unlimited plan until the end of that billing cycle. Once that auto-renews, you will be charged for the number of seats you have. 

If you are on a monthly plan and the end of your billing cycle is coming up, please make sure to remove or keep the amount of seats you like to avoid additional charges for those seats. 

To be clear- all of your folders and avatars under those seats will migrate into the Admin seat left, so nothing will be removed or deleted. If those folders/avatars are set to Private- please make sure to set them onto Shared using the Collaborators option.

Q: I don't want to switch to unlimited, what should I do?

 A: If you prefer to stay on the old credit-based plan with unlimited seats, you can continue to do so as long as your subscription is set to auto-renew and there are no payment issues.

Q: I don't want to pay for seats, what should I do?

 A: If you do not wish to pay for seats, you can remove the additional seats through the settings on your HeyGen platform. Click on the link in your email to access the members page and make the necessary adjustments before the end of your current billing cycle.

Q: I only want to pay for a certain number of seats, not all the current ones I have.

 A: You can manage the number of seats you are paying for by accessing the settings on your HeyGen platform. Click on the link in your email to go to the members page, where you can remove or adjust the number of seats to fit your needs.

Q: What will happen to folders and avatars under those removed seats?

 A: Folders, avatars, and other assets associated with removed seats will still be accessible. Ensure that the settings on your avatars and folders are set to "all" and not "private" to facilitate content migration. If you encounter any issues, our support team can assist you in transferring any remaining content.
