The Public Datasets section of the Insights Module provides a preview of external oversight and compliance reports related to health plans. These datasets allow users to explore regulatory findings, audits, corrective actions, and survey results in a single, searchable interface.

How to Use Public Datasets

  1. Select a dataset from the list to view all available records.
  2. Use table controls (search, sort, filter) to explore records.
  3. Open individual records to review summaries, findings, or linked source documents (when available).

CMS Enforcement Actions

Records of enforcement actions issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) against Medicare and Medicaid plans.

Includes:

DHCS Audit Reports

Audit findings published by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).

Includes:

  • Identified deficiencies
  • Required corrective actions

DHCS CAP Reports

Corrective Action Plan (CAP) reports issued or monitored by DHCS.

Includes:

  • Required remediation steps
  • Compliance timelines
  • Resolution status (when available)

DMHC Survey Reports

Survey and examination reports from the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC).

Includes:

  • Routine and focused surveys
  • Operational and regulatory findings
  • Consumer protection and access issues
