Please remember that you must schedule your move-out date through the Member Dashboard. 

On your scheduled move-out day, please remember to do the following:

Review any move-out instructions left by your host

After cleaning, please fill out the move-out form found on your dashboard. You will be prompted to: 

If you have a physical key, leave it in the room or in the location specified by the host

By default, the move out time is 9:00am, however some hosts may specify a different move-out time. Be sure to check the move-out instructions! 

What should I do on move-out day?

If you've decided to stay in your PadSplit, canceling your move-out date is easy. Log into your Member Dashboard and scroll down to the "Move-Out" section. Click the "Cancel Move-Out" button and follow the prompts. 

You must cancel your move-out before your scheduled move-out date. If you wait until your move-out day to cancel, you will need to rebook a room

I've decided to stay. How do I cancel my move-out?

PadSplit offers a large network of homes that our Members can easily transfer to. If you no longer wish to live at your current property, you may initiate a transfer through your dashboard at any time.

If you signed any minimum commitment, you are eligible for one free transfer within 14 days of your first move-in. Your move-in fee will be waived, but if there is a change in room cost, you will be responsible for the price difference. 

For all other transfers, you will be charged the home's new move-in fee. 

In all cases, you must have a $0 balance in order to transfer. 

Members who have utilized the move-in fee installment plan will be billed for all remaining installments left from their previous occupancy at the time of transfer. 

Remember to complete the move-out form in order to be refunded for your last day. Instructions can be found 

Note: PadSplit Hosts can choose to require 

 before a Member can book their homes. The Host has 24 hours to decide whether to accept your booking and you will be notified of their decision. To increase your chances of approval, be sure to write the optional message to the Host when you request to book the room. We know Hosts like to learn more about you and why you’re interested in their home!

I need to move homes. How do I transfer to another PadSplit?

In all cases, refunds take at least one week to process. Members wishing to cancel a move-out may do so as long as the cancellation occurs before their scheduled move-out date. 

PadSplit members pay by the week. If you choose to move out in the middle of a weekly dues period, you will NOT receive a refund for the remainder of the week*. You will only receive a refund if you have prepaid in excess of your current weekly dues period. The refunded amount will be only for any prepaid days outside of the current dues week. *If you pay biweekly and move out during the first 7 days of your billing period, you are eligible for a refund of dues in excess of the first 7 days of your billing period.

Members Who Have Signed a 30 Day Minimum Commitment with PadSplit

If you break your minimum commitment of at least 30 days, you will automatically be charged $35 to the credit or debit card you have on file . There is no penalty for moving out on the last day of your 30 day minimum commitment, since you’ve paid your dues in full. Once your penalty has been paid, you are eligible for a refund of any prepaid days outside of your current weekly dues period.  

After the last day of your initial commitment period, you will be automatically moved to a week-to-week commitment.  

Members who have signed a 5, 12, or 24 week commitment with PadSplit

If you break your minimum commitment of 5, 12, or 24 weeks, you will be charged a penalty.  The penalty amount varies based on the commitment period you selected: 

Penalties will be charged automatically to the credit or debit card you have on file. Once your penalty has been paid, you are eligible for a refund of any prepaid days outside of your current weekly dues period.  

After the last day of your initial commitment period, you will be automatically moved to a week-to-week commitment.

I'm scheduling a move-out date. What will I be refunded?

To schedule your move-out date, log into your Member Dashboard. Scroll down to the "Move-Out" section and click the "Request Move-Out" button. Choose your move-out date and follow the prompts. Please note:

Your first week's dues at a PadSplit are not refundable (

after 8:00pm EST on the day before move-in

How do I schedule my move-out date?

PadSplit Hosts own and operate the homes on the PadSplit platform. As such, PadSplit Hosts can request that a Member move out of a home at any time. Members will always be given at least 14 days notice in order to provide time to find other accommodations. If you are given a move-out request, you can choose to move out earlier than the date provided by your Host. In certain cases, you can also transfer to another PadSplit home after your Host requests that you move out of your current home. 

Please keep in mind that if you are asked to move out, 

you must keep paying until your move-out date

. Failure to pay dues will result in Membership termination. 

Failure to move out on time may result in a Membership ban and eviction proceedings.

How do I know if I qualify for a letter of recommendation?



In order to qualify for a letter of recommendation from PadSplit, you must satisfy all of the following:

1. You cannot be banned from PadSplit
2. You cannot be evicted from a PadSplit
3. You cannot have a negative balance left in your PadSplit account at the time of move-out
4. You must have at least 2 keys remaining at the time of move-out
5. You cannot have moved out of a PadSplit home more than 90 days ago

Transfers and Move-Outs
