All data written in Sonovel is automatically saved.

All your manuscripts, character information, and memo are automatically saved in Sonovel.
You don't need to manually save them, and there's no need to worry about losing your works.

I think my content disappeared due to a network interruption while working.

Internet connectivity issues may lead to the content not being visible.

Autosave

In Sonovel's editor, you can split the screen into two.

Opening a different file in the split view.

You can split the screen by clicking the split icon in the top-right corner of the currently viewed file.

Try this way if you want to view different sections of a single file simultaneously.

To open the file you want in the split view, click on the 'More' button to open the menu.
 You can also open it through right-click.

From the menu items, select 'Open to the right.’

Try this way if you want to compare different files.

If you want to close the split view and focus on one file, click on the 

 of the file that you want to concentrate on. It’ll integrate windows into a single view.

You can also split and unite the view, using keyboard shortcuts!

It is designed with only the essential tools needed for writing, keeping it simple.

Bold, Italic, strike, underline
 → These can be easily accessed using keyboard shortcuts.

Q. How do I adjust settings like margins and line spacing?

You can adjust formatting settings in Preferences.

While writing, you can keep track of the real-time character count:

The character count displayed in the editor's bottom bar is updated in real-time as you write.

You can customize the unit of measurement to display the most helpful metric for you, choosing between word count, character count including spaces, and character count without spaces.

You can easily share the projects you're working on with others.

Click the share icon located in the file's toolbar. 

By toggling the switch, you'll be ready to share your work on the web.

For added convenience, press the copy button to quickly copy the sharing link.

Now, you can upload images to your manuscript while writing!

 in the toolbar, and you can choose a local file right away.
Once you select and upload your file, it will be added right where your cursor is.

You can also adjust the size and position of the uploaded image as needed.

Additionally, you can add images using the drag-and-drop method. Just drag the image and drop it into Sonovel at the designated spot. However, you can only add one image at a time, so please add them one by one!
