Enable Local Backups

You can enable or disable ‘Local Backups’ in the Settings menu.
However, please note that ‘Local Backups’ are only available in the desktop app.
If you haven't downloaded the app yet, you can follow the Desktop app download guide .
Here's how to enable ‘Local Backups’:
- Access the Settings menu through 'All settings' located on the bottom of the Preferences.
- Toggle the switch to enable ‘Local Backups’.
- The initial save path will be automatically designated.
- Now, you can check the manuscripts backed up on your PC.

Q. I can't use ‘Local Backups’.
Have you downloaded the Sonovel app? Local Backups are only available in the app.
Q. In what format are the backup files saved?
They are saved in the txt file format.
Q. When are the backup files updated?
While writing the story, the backup files are updated every 10 minutes.
