Tips for High Quality Audio Capture
Last updated July 31, 2024
To ensure audio capture is clear and as accurate as possible, try following these steps:
- Make sure the recording device is positioned equidistant between the patient and yourself on a level surface such as a table or chair.
- Make sure there is nothing obstructing the microphone such as a pillow.
- Check that the Knowtex app is on and recording during the entirety of the conversation.
- Minimize Background Noise: Choose a quiet environment for the recording. Close windows and doors to reduce external noise like traffic or people talking.
- Speak Clearly and at a Steady Pace: This makes the conversation easier to follow and record.
- Avoid Talking Over Each Other: If there are multiple speakers in the room, try to avoid cross-talking or interruptions, as this can make the audio harder to transcribe.
- If the patient is difficult to understand or hear, try repeating back what they're saying to help ensure it's captured by the microphone.
