My payment is not going through

If you are getting a payment error or payment decline, please try the following tips:

  1. Use another payment method. This is the easiest and quickest way to address this issue.
  2. Confirm that you have sufficient funds. More than half of payment declines are due to insufficient funds. Please review your bank account to verify that there are enough funds to make the payment.
  3. Is this the first time that you have used this card? Double-check that your card has been unblocked with your bank.
  4. Is your card linked to an active bank account? Some of our declines are due to customers trying to use cards linked with a closed bank account. Confirm with your bank that your account is open. 
  5. Are you trying to use a saved payment method? The following method helps 20% of our Members. Please note: it is currently unavailable on the mobile app. Instead of paying with your default payment methodtry using the ‘add new card’ modal by following these instructions or watching this  video 
  1. Log in to your account using your desktop or a mobile browser (safari, chrome, etc.)
  2. Go to your dashboard, and click on ‘Pay Now’
  3. From the payment method drop-down, select the option ‘Add New Card’ 
  4. Fill in all the card details: number, expiration date, CVC, and billing Zip Code
  5. Keep the option ‘Save card for future use’ unchecked
  6. Select the amount of money that you would like to pay
  7. Click on 'Submit a Payment'
  1. Is your card information correct? Double-check if your card details are correct, including your billing zip code for that card.
  2. Are you trying to use a prepaid card? PadSplit only accepts prepaid cards in certain instances. Please review  this article  to see if a prepaid card will be accepted. 
  3. Call the number on the back of the card and ask if you can register your zip code with the card. Re-enter the payment method details following the instructions explained in #5 above.
