You can move in during your particular home’s move-in hours, which are determined by your Host. To find your move-in hours, check your dashboard before move-in day. If you attempt to move-in outside of these hours, you may not be able to reach your Host if you need assistance. You also may not be eligible for a refund should issues arise. While most move-ins are quick, we recommend that you allot several hours for your move-in, just in case.

What time can I arrive at the house on move-in day?

You can cancel your move-in through your Member Dashboard. Please Note: Refunds will be issued based on the day and time of your cancellation (see chart below). Refunds will take at least one week to process. 

Members who believe that the quality of their PadSplit room was not as advertised or up to specification may request a free transfer or refund on move-in day if they meet these criteria. In addition, Members are granted a free transfer within their first 14 days of occupancy at PadSplit.

How do I cancel my move-in?

We want your PadSplit to feel like home! Please see our recommendations and rules for items you may bring to a PadSplit below: 

Kitchen items (plates, pots, pans, dishes and utensils)

Cleaning Supplies (sponges, dish soap, etc)

Large pieces of furniture such as beds, desks, couches, dressers or mattresses

No kitchen appliances of any kind (microwaves, toaster ovens, hot plates, fryers, etc.) are permitted in bedrooms.

What can I bring to a PadSplit?

For security purposes, the lock codes for PadSplits are not provided until a Member's move-in day. On your move-in day, you'll receive a Welcome Email from PadSplit. This email will include your address, front door code and information about your private room door lock. This information will also appear on your 

A lock can often be tricky to figure out the first time you use it. Here are a few tips to try when the lock code is not working. 

Double check the codes and move-in instructions in your Welcome Email. Often the Host will provide detailed steps for accessing the home.

Front Door: Try entering your code followed by a *, #, lock state button, or check mark and turn the doorknob down. If that doesn't work, start over and turn the doorknob up. If your front door has a remote lock and an additional handle you need to turn both at the same time.

Room Door: Enter the code and turn the knob to the right. If that doesn't work, enter the code and turn the knob to the left.

If you are still unable to access the home or your room:

 The day before your move-in, an SMS line between you and your Host will open. Simply respond to this message to get in touch with your Host.  Be sure to clearly describe the problem. In almost all cases, your Host will be able to remedy the situation in a reasonable amount of time.

PadSplit Hosts are committed to providing quality rooms for Members. If you experience an issue during move-in we want to help!

In most cases, your Host will be able to resolve the situation in a reasonable amount of time. Remember to plan your move-in during your move-in hours to ensure your Host is available to help with any questions that do arise.
